Uday Hussein, Saddam?s eldest son, is apparently not the chip off of the old block that his old man would have him be!? Whereas, Osama bin Laden, could be a worse case scenario?!

The younger Hussein (according to media reports - for whatever they are worth) has defied his father on numerous occasions by publishing stories in his newspaper (BABEL, as in the Tower Of Babel), that the Iraqi Information Ministry and other entities in country, wreak of George Orwell?s Novel - "1984!?

The young Hussein?s rhetorical actions were naturally deemed inappropriate at best in a firmly controlled Iraq, and these alleged transgressions include reports on ?Iraqi Government Ineffectiveness and Corruption?, as well as being the only Iraqi paper to report on the escalating tensions between Iraq and the west!

Now it must be remembered that the younger Hussein is himself a powerful entity in Iraq, and that in the past, has occasionally proved fatal! And outside of running the biggest rag in that nation, Uday is also the ?Chairman of Iraq?s National Olympic Committee?, (and man can these guys run, as was witnessed when they were driven out of Kuwait in 1991!) Also, Uday Hussein is the ?Chairman of the Iraqi Journalist?s Union?, as well as holding down other prominent positions within this war-torn region!

The news also has it that Uday Hussein was banned from appearing for a month because he, as I said above, flipped the finger (figuratively) at his nation?s Information Ministry. And this of course, brings up two interesting questions -

1 - Is this man genuine? Saddam has in the past knocked-off other family members and friends who pushed his buttons too hard, and

2 - Are we witnessing a little game of ?Good Cop, Bad Cop?, Iraqi Style here? Only time and the chopping block will tell for sure whether ?Hussein?s Blood Line Is Thicker That Water?!?

If genuine, Uday Hussein?s urging that Iraq adhere to the UN Resolution and (Totally) disarm, could be a step in the right direction? But remember this, just before the last ?Thriller In The Middle East?, we supported Iraq (and helped to keep them intact) against Iran! As such, I would be greatly surprised (opinion) if Iran would not want to re-engage a defanged Iraq after the Coalition finishes the job (totally) this time around? (Just another - GEE, I WONDERISM?)

Yet another ?Camel Tick In The Ointment? comes in the form of the ?Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, Back The Next Day?- Osama bin Laden. This bum ain?t done, and could it be that ?Binny-Boy? is now romancing Saddam in an effort to combine resources?! Bin Laden is, after all a devout zealot. One not beyond using up all of the blood in the Middle-East to attain his goal of ?Total Arab Unity" - UNDER HIS ABSOLUTE DICTATE OF COURSE! This man would stoke the fires of hell themselves if allowed to, and then try to double cross the Devil and take control there too (opinion)!

Also, our ?On Again, Off Again? pals in Jordan are straddling the line anew and blowing in all directions at the same time? In all honesty, however, it must be remembered that Jordan is situated in the ?Direct Line Of Fire?, and they too will jump in our side again when the writing on the wall becomes crystal clear. Of course, they will then (AGAIN) be greeted with open arms by the ?POWERS THAT BE!? Boy, aren?t a few of our friends really great?

With some $25,000,000 being put up for that head of bin Laden, the CIA is unable to understand why no one has taken our government up on it?s offer. They apparently don?t realize that like ?Humphrey Bogard and The Treasure of Sierra Madre?, simple folks have no idea of the magnitude of this deal and the value of gold! Had we instead offered a herd of camels or goats, or something of tangible use to these people, maybe there might have been a taker or two, and maybe not?! Bin Laden is, after all, revered by many in this region (Why again, is anyone?s guess?) For if this were not the case, and considering our massive assets, could he have evaded capture for this long!

Why is it that people like Hussein and bin Laden, who order others to freely shed their blood, are often the first to hide when the winds of war turns cold! George Washington didn?t do this, Patton didn?t do this, Schwarzkopf didn?t do this, Napoleon and Rommel didn?t do this, and hell, even old George Armstrong Custer, may he rest in peace, didn?t do this! Times have indeed changed, but the ambitions of some misdirected international sorts, and groups there-of, probably never will get the message and curtail their crap! (yet another opinion)

Your observations are correct by something is amiss with all this combined force statement you made. I doubt the two could ever share power togther.

Saddam isn't normally that way unless he takes our Bin Laden later for the money. Those two snakes are really 360 degrees out from each other.

Run and hide is a good tactic they know they can make an appearance anytime they want to later. Getting their lackies to take the bullets for them just means the lackies don't have a clue what their bosses are up to.

I do like your idea of changing the funds to more materialistic things such as land, water and food plus some grazing animals. That may mean much more to them then the monetary figures that are being tossed out.
