Walmart-- Discrimination?

A law suite has been filed against Walmart? for discrimination against women.

Is Walmart being sued by one complaintant or are there multiple law suits against Walmart? What are the details of this lawsuit ie., lower wages than their male coworkers, lack of promotions and etc.?

I don't really know, I was watching NBC this morning (monday) and they started to talk about it, If you go to NBC/today show I will bet you can find out what they said, I just thought it was a bunch of crap, Walmart doesn't discriminate against anyone.

It seems that there are many cases nowadays where the complainant will manufacture a story in the hope of collecting a substantial sum of money. I'm not sure if this is the case here.

I heard it was more than one employee. As a woman all I can say is there is one in every bunch!!!!

Do not call her honey, Oh boy!!! By the way I like being called honey. Maybe thats my Southern up bringing.
But as I get older I notice that we woman have asked sometimes for some things we did not want and now that we have them we whine about that.


Sorry to any woman out there this is just what I have seen in my time.

There are whiney men too. lol

Us women are strange creatures. We can't even figure our own mood swings out let alone have a man figure them out. The best they can do is mark their calendars each month and hope their fishing/hunting trip lands on our bad week. lol

As for discrimination, it's up to the courts to hear the testimonies of the complainants and defendants and make a fair and honest judgement.

walmart used to have a big problem with K-mart doing what you were accused of. K-mart would send people over and get walmart prices for certain items and then K-mart would mark there item a couple cents lower and advertise lowest prices. No store likes that. The manager most likely could have delt with you very differently and everyone would have come out ahead.
I would say don't blam Walmart for some managers miss-givings.

Tell Walmart what happened, you would be supprised,

Also Old Sam Walton was a pretty good ole' Gentleman always supported education in the Small towns in Mo an Ark but after his death his greedy Sons an Daughters changed a lot the way the Stores were run. BTW in my home Town of Salem, Mo we had store #19 when Sam still traveled to all his stores in that old Red Ford pickup truck and the Store Manager would get an ear full if the Greeters weren't greeting and employees weren't being helpful He even asked a greeter at our local store if he knew who he was and the greeter said "No why should I" and Sam took him over to the Bulletin Board and pointed to the "Our Founder" photo and said do you know who this is and at that point the greeter finally figured out he was talking to the Guy who signed his Check. After that the Manager always made sure New employees read the Bulletin board and all that Sam wanted the Greeter to do was treat all customers as if they were the Boss because as he demonstrated you never know when He would show Up .
