Default NASCAR Fans revisted

Todays race in Loudon was based on Points System instead of Qualifing ( due to rain).

Do you think that is FAIR??

Me personally think the top ones ought to start in the rear and work their way to the front. Heck, in one lap the tope would be in the front.

Sure they are in more danger of the "big one" (wreck), but that is part of racing.

Here in Tx at the first race they ever had of the Winston Cup, DW was in last place and on the first lap he was hit in the rear and threw him out of the race, GO FIGURE<<<<<

Should NASCAR stay with the points leaders in the front when rain delays or or cancels the qualifing or not.????

enough.......

Points positioning heads up start seems fair enough because all the medium length tracks are significantly different and the car or cars that have the set up going will finish well in any case. Those races are long enough to where those cars that are over their head in terms of starting position will get where they are supposed to be in fairly short order. Soon as the track gets some rubber build-up and the tires get hot, its obvious who has the setup dialed and who doesn?t. Given all that, I think the NASCAR rained out rules are fair. When the track is green, it?s slip and slide, push and loose for everyone regardless of points standing. Ten or so laps in is when racing starts, the rest is just mob hot laps till things settle in and everyone knows what they have or don?t have to work with.

Inverted starts are seen in the hobby levels of NASCAR where cars only run for 30-50 laps on a 1/3 mile track, that is fair but sure gets some sheet metal all bent up as the hot dogs proceed to the front.
