Angry Media Madness

Reuters and the BBC are fast catching up with the (former) Iraqi News Minister when it comes to fraudulent creativity, in my opinion!?

A recent story submitted to Reuters on Jessica Lynch, the Army private who?s ordeal has become the center of much media coverage, bore little resemblance to the original piece that was submitted! And when asked to remove the reporter?s bi-line, Reuters apparently refused, citing it as their right to rework the piece!

Hey, I fully realize that a publication has the right and responsibility to polish up material, but for them to (almost) completely reword a story, and by doing so, completely alter it and its meaning, is a travesty, and in a way even plagiarism (opinion)!

Anyone who read the original script and the slanderous mess that Reuters made of it, might come to the conclusion that this is a hatchet job of the first order! (opinion)

?So what in the hell is going on here?!? Is yellow journalism making a comeback, or has elements of the world media decided that they would try for a Pulitzer Prize in Fictional Literature? Worse yet, the tripe that I saw in that bastardized piece, wreaks of an attempt to make Lynch and the United States look like blatant Fools!!

?Ain?t it grand to have friends like these!? A true Coalition of Media Clowns!!?

VERITAS ABSENTIA :cd:

If anyone has any ideas on how to boycott reuters, I'm all for it.

Reading both the original and their version made clear their lack of appreciation for the US military and the citizens who value the freedom that they provide.
