Or.........how to get ahead in business or your professional career!

From a strictly mathematical viewpoint it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?

Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%?
We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%.

How about achieving 103%?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

What makes up 100% in life?
If the letters:

A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z are represented as:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.

Example if: H = 8, and A = 1 and so on, then:
H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K
8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%

and
K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E
11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%

But,
A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E
1+20+20+9+20+21+4 5 = 100%

And.......
B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T
2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103%

AND, look how far ass kissing will take you:
A-S-S-K-I-S-S-I-N-G
1+19+19+11+9+19+19+9+14+7 = 118%


So, one can then conclude with mathematical certainty that: While hard work and knowledge will get you close, And, Attitude will get you there, Bullshit and Ass kissing will put you over the top every time!

I love it I think you've outdone yourself on this thread. I've never been an ass-kissers so I'll never make high marks. I think I fall under hardwork so that will have to do.

Personal Charisma, Butt Kissing, and Luck are just as important to success as hard work and education.

If you are a politician Personal Charisma is a must. Education and experience set aside if you are good looking and have that "star" quality you can become President of the United States. We had two Presidents who possessed that "star" quality. Kennedy and Reagan. Personal Charisma can often get one jobs over the better qualified everytime.

However, Hard work and education are important also.

Well there ya have it, one of the absolute and final universal truths is now identified. This is better than Columbus supposedly discovering the new world or finally figuring out why ten pairs of socks are put in the dryer and only 9 ? come out. Good stuff Gimpy, and now I?ll smile through a bunch of ultimately boring meetings today.

Explains a lot and why some always get ahead in life and most just struggle to make ends meet.

Still, was a little disappointed that you left-out how so many get ahead in The Mob and/or in politics with your: "The 118% Club",...which is just as well.

After all, I figured that since both The Mob and politicos are more so into demanding awe of authority and respectful RINGKISSING than the typical ASSKISSING,...that both quite similarly authoritarian groups could be instead considered: The 131% Club (percentage that "RINGKISSING" comes out to).

Regardless, and since not wanting to alienate The Mob,...it must be stated for the record that The Mob is at least honest and forthright about what "They" do, and certainly serve worthwhile services which usually give The Public their money's worth.

Such, and rarely if ever,...could be said of most politicos. And besides, The Mob isn't near as greedy with The People's Money,...as some political bents daily are. Also, The Mob can quite differently be trusted to do as promissed. Wouldn't it be nice if politicos would also be so believable?
