Default Points to Ponder

NAACP Chairman Julian Bond said over the weekend that he agreed with political cartoonist Aaron McGruder's characterization of National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice as "a murderer."

Appearing with Bond on the television show "America's Black Forum," McGruder, whose cartoon strip "The Boondocks" has portrayed Rice as a spinster who takes out her personal frustrations by launching carpet-bombing attacks on Iraq, explained his disdain for the highest-ranking woman in U.S. government. "I don't like Condoleezza Rice because she's part of this oil cabal that's now in the White House," McGruder said, as ABF hosts Armstrong Williams and Juan Williams looked on.

"I don't like her because she's a murderer," the cartoonist announced. The charge drew immediate condemnation from Armstrong Williams, who complained, "That is totally out of line to say she's a murderer."

Unfazed, McGruder repeated the accusation, stretching out his words, "S-h-e'-s a m-u-r-d-e-r-e-r."

"Let's put aside the fact that she's affiliated with oil companies that murder people in Nigeria," the cartoonist said. "We can discuss just this illegal Iraq war, the slaughtering of innocent people and the fact that she's one of the big hawks of the administration.

"I don't see where this is even a point of contention," he insisted.

At that point cohost Juan Williams asked Mr. Bond if he supported McGruder's contention. "I generally agree with his politics 100 percent and I think he explained himself well," the NAACP chief said.

[Editor's comments: Do comments like those of McGruder and Bond help explain why the leftists are part of the problem, and not part of the solution? And golly gee-whiz, hasn't everybody noticed how sharply gasoline prices have dropped ever since we started getting all that free oil from Iraq? I sincerely thank them for making these absurd comments, as everytime they open their mouths, another 10,000 voters are persuaded to vote against them and their ilk.]

As me and some of my brethen say, "Buen viaje, y vaya con Dios." Check back into the net upon arrival upcountry.
You're right, some of the comments for the leftists would be humorous, would they not be so contempuous.

My Ma always taught me that envy is a horrible disease. I?d say that Bond needs to go see a doc and take a cure. Ms./Dr. Rice is a bright and gifted person that is fully capable and not just some token Black female being used as window dressing. I don?t know that she?s calling the shots as to military operations or knows about weaponry to any great detail. Maybe yes, maybe no but I can?t put her in my minds eye as leaning over a map in the Pentagon, pointing to some area and saying ?bomb the crap out of this place?.

As to oil gushing out of Iraq, not hardly I say. Saddam and crew let most the production infrastructure go to seed and it?s going to take more than a bunch to get all that cranked up again. My guess is that it will be at least another year or so before the full potential even gets to be realized, let alone showing up in our gas tanks. That is if the remnants of Saddam?s outfit stop blowing up the riggings. I don?t know where Bond and company get their information but it seems they are gilding the lily a bunch or just have the usual hard-on for the Bush administration. The hate Bush trip is getting real boring, ho-hum, and as common as pig tracks. Maybe if Dubya got a BJ in the oval office by some Tart-doxie worker bee we?d have something new to talk about. But an elected President wouldn?t do a thing like that, Aarrgg.

First of all, I'd have to say that your Ma was one bright lady, recognizing that disease an' all. One somewhat of a miracle worker as well, educatin' you up right smartly! Bet you're kinda like me in some respects, realizing how smart your parents were.

Pouring over a map is out of the realm of activities for Dr. Rice. Now, back in the bad ol' LBJ days, that's just exactly what they did, planning practically every B-52 mission right there in the White House. And I know full well that Dr. Rice thoroughly comprehends the difference between a carpet bomb and a carpet cleaner, but doesn' concern herself with such matters.

Did read some good news, that the oil production is actually up from pre-SH days; true, some of the local malcontents don't want to see the local folks benefitted, but I think we're gradually weeding them out. Out of a population of 8 million, if only 1% was a bad guy, you'd still have 80,000 headshots to accomplish.

Hope the leftists keep talking, boring as it is, since they are pathologically incapable of having an original thought; the votes just keeeeeep poring in!!!

Default Col. Scout..........

My Ma can still kick my butt at cribbage, out thinking me, knowing the destination of my thought before I get there. She?s one feisty and scrappy Celtic Scots Lady of Clan Neal. I?m the dumb-ass among my siblings so she spent a lot of time coaching and pushing me along. Her Ma is the one who gave me her derringer when I went to war and instructed me as to what I was to do with it if push came to shove. I had that derringer as a back gun for the whole time. One of those ?don?t go to sea without it deals?.

As to leftist thoughts, well, they have a lot of very beautifully gifted people in their camp, and some good ideas, maybe. I like good political competition but this hate Bush rhetoric, dogma and insanity is not something of intellect or of value to our culture and people. So yes, we may have a student body right on the plate. That pisses-off the liberal souls, big time. But heck put something on the plate, Liberals, for crying out loud. Let me see what I see when I see it. And I?m not talking about the Clinton dynasty and associated tar babies.

As to energy production in Iraq, yup, the green side is up in most sectors, thank you USA, but the dilapidated junk equipment they have is limited or totally worn out so that will be a continuing struggle. And sure, no one in the region wants to have a successful and prosperous Iraq so that will be a continuing struggle as well. We got the hydra by the nose(s) and big trouble to deal with.
