![]() I will start this and anyone keep it going.
I have been hearing all day long that Iraqs teenagers killed three more of our troops and hit them with bricks after they are already dead, and even slit their throats and drug them down the streets. How much of this is true? I havent gotten into the news until about an hour from now. Sorry if this upsets anyone. enough........

![]() 2 G.I.s savaged by Iraqi gang
'They lifted a block and hit them with it on the face' By JAMES GORDON MEEK in Washington and BILL HUTCHINSON in New York DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS http://www.nydailynews.com/front/sto...p-123972c.html ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In a shocking act of savagery, a bloodthirsty pack of Iraqi teens ambushed two U.S. soldiers yesterday, dragging them into the street and mutilating them. Their bodies were so badly mangled, it could not immediately be determined whether they were shot and then mutilated - or if they were beaten to death. At least one witness said it appeared the soldiers' throats had been slashed. The attack in Mosul was an ominous sign that the once-peaceful city where Americans were welcomed had lapsed into a caldron of hate for the red, white and blue. "I feel absolute anger, disgust - and tremendous sympathy for the guys who were killed and their families," said Rep. Peter King (R-Long Island), who recently returned from a fact-finding trip to Mosul. Yesterday's ordeal recalled a similar attack in Somalia in 1993, when a warlord gang dragged the corpses of Marines through the streets after downing their Black Hawk chopper. The ugly incident quickly caused the U.S. to abandon its mission in Somalia. "We have to avoid a replay of Somalia," King said. "We can't retreat or back away." The White House had no immediate comment. The vicious assault yesterday occurred as paratroopers from the 101st Airborne Division rode in a three-car convoy on a sun-dappled street in the city's bustling center. Witnesses said the attackers picked off the last van in the convoy by either hurling rocks or firing shots that caused it to lurch off the road and slam head-on into a brick wall. Grocery store owner Atallah Karim Omar said the two other cars continued on their way, seemingly unaware they were leaving the two soldiers in the crashed van vulnerable to a frenzied mob. As many as a dozen teenagers swarmed the van and dragged the soldiers into the dusty street, Omar said. It was not clear if the soldiers were alive when they were pulled from the wreckage. As some of the teens looted the van of weapons, CDs and backpacks, the others set their sights on brutalizing the paratroopers. "They lifted a block [of cement] and hit them with it on the face," said witness Younis Mahmoud, 19. Another witness, Bahaa Jassim, said it appeared the soldiers were also shot. "One of the soldiers was shot under the chin, and the bullet came out of his head," Jassim said. "I saw the hole in his helmet." Witness Raed Amer Zaffar, a baker in the area, said it appeared the soldiers' throats were slashed. About an hour after the ambush, American troops stormed to the scene, only to find the bloodied bodies splayed in the streets. Photographs of the grisly scene showed one body lying face up near the front wheels of the crashed van. Another photo showed the other soldier sprawled out nearby with his right fist clinched and his left foot possibly severed. In Baghdad, Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt would only provide sketchy details of the attack, saying, "We're not going to get ghoulish about it." Elsewhere in Iraq yesterday, a U.S. soldier was killed in Baqouba, just north of Baghdad, when his 4th Infantry Division convoy detonated a roadside bomb, military officials said. Assassins also killed the Iraqi police chief of Latifiyah, about 20 miles south of Baghdad. ************************************************** ** So, thats what supposably happened. The thing that I would like to disagree with is the fact that they state that the G.I.s might have been dead when they were dragged out. In todays newspaper, they show the body of the G.I. next to the van, and in my opinion, I believe, I know this might sound gruesome, but I believe that they were still alive. If you look closely at the picture where the body is next to the van, you can see that the impact wasent that great. Of course I may be mistaken. Maybe, just maybe, but I highly doubt it, they might have been killed before the mob got em. I dont know what to think, but I'm going with my gut instinct!

Regardless Reeb, and wherever-the-hell you hear about it or see it on TV,...it's one sorry state of affairs. My heartfelt condolences to the victims, victims family and friends, and to all Americans for such a great loss to a murderous breed of people. Neil |

![]() Tis the hydra of the mid-east in full glory, sad as it is. One Mullah with an axe to grind is sure to get tens of nitwits with a blood lust running in the streets. One politico with a bunch of half troths, a hand full of Dinars and a line of crap can have the streets running curb to curb with blood. This is exactly the reason why the entire region is so unstable, an economic shipwreck and is a cultural smoldering hulk that is bow down on the horizon. The golden opportunity for a change for the better is being pissed away I?m thinking.
![]() I?d like to say I?m surprised at all this, but unfortunately I?m not. Long ago I saw oil our crew surveyor and two drillers get shot down for some nebulous offence and then the HBL (Hanish Bedouin League) hunt down the perps and cap them on the spot. From accounts, it was all over the surveyor asking his helper (a local Arab) to carry the transom to a new location. And of course this was during Ramadan, so asking people to do what they are being paid for is a supreme religious insult I suppose. My heart hurts at this report but that?s reality and life with the hydra. ![]() Scamp ![]()

![]() I regret these terrible things are taking place but like Scamp said above they are trying to get us to cut and run. I'd burn the entire place down and like the Jews are take tanks or bulldozers and flatten that place down to a fine dust.
If I witness those events kids or not I'm afraid I would have shot them down right there on the spot. This type of killing is to scare our public and evoke overwhelming dread into our people. These tactics were used in Somalia if you recall and as bad as they were they were effective. We've gotta turn up the heat and do a few dastardly things as a warning of things to come. These people only know strength and don't have the same meaning of life as we do. They've learned that our media will blast these ugly issues onto our TV's all night. We must be getting close when it turns this ugly. We've gotta harden ourselves for these terrible things and react when they do three-fold to show our resolve.
