Dodging The Bullet
With over 800,000 acres of Southern California?s mountainous vegetation burned off, any significant rainfall in this region could now be catastrophic! The ghost (replay) of the San Bernardino mudslides, just a short time ago, could soon pay us yet another visit here in the lower portion of the State!
At any given time during the next few months, when the Golden State is in the middle of it?s usual rainy season, the saturated earth could again bury portions of humanity under it?s relentless onslaught! ?Another Tsunami of Mud, Rock and Water? could indeed sweep away (or bury) any of the communities ravished recently by the mindless flames of Hell!
?Great portions of the backcountry of San Diego County too, are in grave danger of yet more monumental damage by the often-cruel whims of nature!? Should it rain heavily here, and with vast portions of the ground cover now blackened or totally incinerated, no deterrent to soil-saturation exists. The mantle will quickly liquefy, and from there on - gravity will take over. Then woe be it to anyone (or anything) that rests within the path of this irresistible force!!
No matter how prepared humanity may think itself, the ?Wars Conducted By Nature? dwarf even mankind?s feeble efforts to destroy itself! And besides, even in catastrophe, their are votes to be had, as many a hungry politico has learned!
How delicate our existence really is when matched up against the whims of nature! Earthquakes, Great Sea Waves, Hurricanes, Tornados, and the likes, make ?Mr. Bush?s Shock and Awe? look like a pet store puppy in comparison! And if mankind doesn?t knock itself off, then maybe (just maybe), the nature of things will!
SLEEP WELL, and VERITAS
