Florida Trip

Spent last week on the Gulf Coast of Florida (Port Charlotte). The family had a nice visit with my uncle, veteran of WWII. He was in the Army Air Corps. First station in China, then on Tinian. For all of the rest of us West Coasters, it rained everyday, morning and evening. The ground was never dry, as if Florida does have dry ground. Took one day to visit the East Coast, West Palm Beach - it rained. But living in a desert with a drought, it was a forgotten experience to be in real serious rain. No, I am not any kind of fisherman. Did not do any fishing. Only the "real" serious fisherman went out on the day boats. The 2 hour or half-day boats would not go out in the morning rain. It was good to see relatives on a happy occasion this time.
