Talking Nfl Wild Card

Well folks put your money on seattle for tomorrows NFL wild card game. the reason's being they are a better team then the Rams and our resident drug addit will be back in the line up Korin Robertson and if he's half way straight he's one hell of a player and after missing 5 games he is well rested. also Shaun Alexander wants to prove he is no slouch , and make ammends for bad mouthing coach Holgran last week. the weather is going to be real bad and nasty but the game should be hot . I'll talk to you after the game tomorrow.

Can't stand the Rams OR the Seahawks but I prefer the Seahawks to them by far.

Should be some good games this weekend.

sn,
Are you going to be on the 40 yd. line of your couch or the field? Buffalo fan, though I would prefer the Seahawks.

C'mon ya gotta be a faithful fan even if they don't make it...

I was at my usual position in the north end zone of Gillette Stadium in Foxboro for the Pats' regular season finale vs the Niners, and a good time was had by all...except the Niners. In the tunnel before the game we were harrassing the Niners with comments like, "49! Is that the total points you guys've scored this year?" and chanting, "#1 Draft Pick! #1 Draft Pick! C'mon guys, you gotta fight for it!" They didn' think that was funny at all. I guess when you've had the kind of season they've had, nothing's funny.

I also took the opportunity to harrass the Color Guard, a contingent of Naval Reservists, with the usual "Anchor Cranker" and "Mermaid Muncher" type of comments. One of them got a bit testy until I showed him my old dog tags and we started swapping "war stories".

Despite what happened during the regular season, the road to the Super Bowl still goes through New England, and I predict a Patriots - Eagles Super Bowl with the Patriots again taking home the Lombardi Trophy.

I think playoffs, and wildcard playoffs in particular, in any sport are just stupid. They are almost the same thing as the politicaly correct BS you see in kids sports where everyone gets a trophy regardless if you finished in last place . What ever happened to the best teams at the end of a season playing for a championship? Some team with a 9-9 record isn't better then a team with a 11-8 record so why the hell should the 9-9 team be in any playoff...........O.K. I feel much better now....thank you

I saw the Pat's and Buffalo play in Foxboro. You ain't kiddin' a good time was had by all. I swear there were more men on the field than there should have been. At least it looked that way. Genesee screem ale(ouch) and a bit of blackberry brandy kept that game going.

Default A bet

As of this writing the Colts have to win a play off game to get to the Razor just to play the Pat's. I've put money on the Colts to beat New England and got great odds.

Dan, New England is our team but never bet with your heart, bet with your head. The same should be true in marriage. In both cases if you win 51% of the time, you done good.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Thanks Andy.....But the Colts, from past history have done some pretty stupid things during the playoffs.

As a Carolina Panther fan it was a hard season. 14 starters were lost in the first couple of game. That said:

New England had it's chance against the best team in pro football today, THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS. They were laughed out of Pittsburgh. Unless something weird happens New Englands Road is through Pittsburgh and I don't give them a chance in hell.

As far as the NFC goes.....who cares. Who ever gets in from the AFC, Pittsburgh, New England, or the Colts will handle what ever losers stumble their way in. Philly also got laughed out of Pittsburgh with all their players healthy. New England would make short work of them also. The Super Bowl will be Pitt vs Pats, if that happens. All that said:

Last year everyone said that New England would blow out the Panthers. It turned out to be one of the 3 or 4 best super bowls ever. I was only a little upset that we lost. The game was so friggin' good I couldn't be too upset. The only reason New England won was that before the game they came down and burned our churches, (again!), so we couldn't pray before the game. It was a nasty trick.
