the veterans party
not sure if this has been posted here or not but this is a new political party for veterans
http://www.veteransparty.us/issues.htm Who We Are We are the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Soldier, Sailor, Airmen, Marine, Coasties. Coming together once again as we did on the battlefield, to defeat an enemy that has prevented us from living with dignity and respect. We are the Enlisted, Warrants and Officers who served to protect this country during all its hours of darkness. We took an oath to protect this nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic. We were never told to forget that oath, and we truly believe that our job is not done. We are the Grandmothers, Grandfathers, Mothers, Fathers, Husbands, Wives, Sisters, Brothers, Children, Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins of those who served and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We will not forget them and we will not let this Nation forget or abandon them.

39mto39g I am not advocating this party just making people aware of it. If you check the web page for this party you will see it has only one canidate. the goal of this party (if you believe there litature) is to give priority to veterans issues. This party is not run by the military, but claims to be formed of veterans
coachman yes it is for real, although they only have one canidate I thought folks here would be interested in this

Hawk,
Just read some of the page. Thanks for putting it up. I agree with some of the things I read and disagree with others. They are wrong that Gov employee's get tax free retirement. Our retirement is taxed just like anyone else. They need to do some homework there. I think another party in this country would be fine but don't have much hope this will be one of them. If they would get some sort of edorsement from the DAV, VFW, etc., that might help but see this as doomed from the begining. The Libertarian Party has been around for ages and they can't really get off the ground floor. Thanks again....interesting site. Pack

We might want to remember that Kerry was a vet.Kinda.
Might want to remember that vets tend to be brave but not necessarily smart or political.
