A Low Down, Dirty Shame!

I have noted over the years, in various military publication, how many an honorable veteran has posted notes searching for comrades in arms who were with them (or witnessed) accidents or other incidents that injured them while in the service!

I do not know how many of these seekers of truth were able to locate witnesses, or even the people who inflicted the damage to begin with, but I find it appalling that even with first hand witnesses to incidents, very few (if any) are willing to come forth with additional data or to act the part of a real man (or woman), and tell the truth?

Are we so afraid of the government/military powers that be, that we would remain mute when we know for a fact what really occurred in any given instance? Are we afraid of losing benefits, being accosted by parts of the bureaucracy, or maybe (as long as it happened to someone else), we choose apathy over brotherhood!

Whatever the reason for their non-involvement, the silence of lambs will surely follow these people into Hell Eternal!
