Default Gitmo Update

Just got done talking with HM2 Brockington, my Psyc-Tech who just got back from working at the Gulag in Gitmo. Seems that the reports of "abuse" are just a little bit wrong and lopsided. She states that the prisoners are living better than most of the enlisted down there and are being treated better than most prisoners here in the states. She also told me about one of the prisoners little tricks they pull that we cannot retaliate on.

The prisoners mix cocktails to throw on the guards and corpsmen as they do their jobs and rounds. Here's the ingrediants:

Coctails are called by numbers:

1 URINE

2 URINE AND FECES (POOP/SHIT for you Marines)

3 URINE, FECES, AND SEMEN (JIZZ for you Marines)

4 URINE, FECES, SEMEN AND VOMIT

She paints a whole different picture than what were getting on how these assholes are being treated and also states that as long as she's been there, one year, there has been a no retaliation policy when they throw a Number whatever in your face or strike a Marine guard. I think someone is exaggerating their "plight" by calling it a Gulag, Nazi Death Camp, whatever. I choose to believe a U.S. Navy Corpsman over an Islamic/fascist bastard anyday. Too bad our politicians don't.

Paco
I also read where the average weight gain among the prisoners was 15 lbs....sounds like were starving them to death too.
Its amazing what the news media can do to distort a story

I watched the hearing before congress today on Gitmo and I'm proud to say that both Republicans and Democrats were completely impressed with the superior performance of our military, the condition of the camp, and thehumane treatment of the prisoners.

Thousands of reporters have been allowed to come to the camp but our press seems to beaddicted to their political agenda.

There was a story told of oneprisoner that came inmissing aleg. They fitted him with a prosthetic and determined after a time that he could be released back to his country of origin. He showed his appreciation by picking up arms once again to kill American troops. No report on the outcome of that discovery.

Arrow,

What a surprise! Why, I can't believe these innocent victims of the Nazi/American military would ever take up arms against us! Geewillicurs! Wish they would have made his new leg out of C-4 with a long range electronic detonator. They could have taken him out and a bunch of his cronies as soon as he went back.

Thanks for the update.....but unlike our politicos, I don't have to go down there. I believe our troops.

Love ya Sis!

Good input Packo and Sis, thanks.
The old saw about pitching a bunch of crap on the wall and hoping some sticks seems to apply. However, the information age we are in does a nice job of hosing off all but the relevant blemishes. There is always room for improvement, and the need for visibility and oversight at the right level of responsibility. But maybe that isn?t the MSN and their direct-coupled, hard bolted politico players out trying to slice off a pound of flesh, any flesh will do scenario.
As the village MSN vigilantes race about with torches, spikes, hammers, pitchforks, etc., hollering ?kill the monster, kill the monster? one might ask an in-depth set of question as to exactly which monster or monsters are for the killing and why. As things turn out, alternatives sources to the MSN are asking these questions and soon enough the discouraged thundering mob of torch-bearing MSN vigilantes heads off to the next likely soft spot and the cycle repeats.
I think Mel Brooks could make a hell of a satirical movie about all this, something akin to ?Blazing Saddles? maybe. Perhaps ?Blazing iPods?.

I'm with you Packy!

Scamp...

I don't knowhow our warriors in Gitmo can keep their patience with the press. I'll tell you what we can all take a good lesson in the incredible amount of discipline our current military community exhibits.

Part of the equation Sis is practice, legacy and lessons learned. The media ambushed our butts in Vietnam but it didn?t take long to figure out the drill and how to avoid or trick the minions of disinformation and false pretences.
The name of the game was to let them gin up 100% BS and not be duped into being a participant in 75 % BS. One of the best tactics was to feign mental incompetence; drooling a bit worked real well, and just let them roll on from there and do whatever their thumpity-thump pink hearts desired.

It was a bit of fun actually and I?m sure our current troops are even more devilish and ornery. Alas, the old saw, ? Fool me once, shame on you??..etc.?
