Save The Creepy-Crawlers, To Hell With Humanity!

The Imperial Sand Dunes, also known as Algodones Dunes, are familiar sights to all kids at heart who saw the movie Star Wars, more than once in many cases! You may even recall how the two intrepid robot stars trekked across the blazing sands of a far distant and alien world.

In reality, however, it was the Imperial Dunes of extreme South Eastern California that played host to this particular scene, or so I have been led to believe?

?Well, these very same piles of sand are in the news again!? This time around the galaxy, however, they are fast becoming the scene of a far different kind of war - one that pits the ever present environmentalists (right or wrong), up against something as insignificant as mankind itself!

It would appear that 17 species of bugs, including ants, wasps, bees, and beetles, are in danger of being squashed under the wheels of off-road vacationers and sand nuts alike, at this popular weekend and winter month retreat! And as such, several environmental protection groups are raising no end of Hell! Not over normal road kill, mind you, but over insects that they figure have the right of eminent domain over mere mortal man!

Now I am not saying that even a bug should be turned into road mush, but to attempt to close off a nationally known recreational site because it might upset the breeding habits of two brown recluse spiders in heat, is stupid in my opinion. When, after all, has a bug (even an American bug), ever paid taxes and upkeep on open land?

And of course, if you expect these biting and stinging insects to repay your kindness by not sinking their fangs or stingers into your corpulent hide, well, you had better bring along a bible as well on your next outing! ?To many of these natural critters, you are nothing more than a bite of lunch or a late evening snack!!?

Now wouldn?t it be grand if government and its stinging little bureaucracies would care at least as much about our military, our elderly, our kids, our hard-pressed middle class, and our poor, as they apparently do for army of mindless bugs?
