Libby's Indictments
First of all, listening to the pre-annoucement run-up by the media was the intellectual equivalent of watching buzzards circle, waiting for the dying to gasp their last breath. Then the announcement, which droned on and on, with a very curious absence of wording, unlike any other district attorney's posturing statements. In either reading the very tedious statement, or responding to reporters' questions, not once did Fitzpatrick ever used the "alleged" word, implying an automatic element of guilt, sans trial.
Another notable absence was that for all the hoopla, ballyhoo, and hand-rubbing, there was not one charge related to the "alleged" (there's that word you might want to incorporate into your lexicon, Fitz baby) outing of a CIA agent. At the time of the alleged outing, Valerie was not more a covert agent than I was than I was a goat castrator in New Hampshire.
Very little has been reported of the people within the CIA who had been supplying the White House with daily intel briefings which included continuing mentions of WMD's, and once their information was found to be inaccurate, or their incompetence was noted, set in motion a plan to discredit the White House, rather than fall on their own sword. So Valerie lobbies to have good ol' Joe wander off to Africer, Joe spends as much time as he could in the hotel bar, the bogus report comes back, and lo and behold, we fast forward to today.
