Default Going back to a camp site

We were on this 3 or 5 day thing around Kontum and the LT decides to go back to one of our night set up places.
Have any of you ever went back to a sight where you were previously? After that I could see why we were so easy to follow.
Fresh dug holes, C-rat cans , cig butts, plastic spoon, and the worst thing was a full m-16 mag.
We were a lot carefuller after that.
