Ron, are these Fords Concept's that eventually became the Mustang?

Default Lee Iacocca , Chyslers old chairman

The originator of the Mustang started the Mustang prodject in 1961. His ideas and concepts became the 64 1/2 Mustang that was sold to the public. The cars that were built before 64 1/2 were real, they were the stepping stones to the manufatured version, no less real. Is the first bat made by Louisvill slugger plant a real bat? Yes it is,
A concept car is normally one that is made with no intent on building the car for sale. The Mustangs "concept" cars are a drawing board reallity of what will be sold to the public.

I liked the Adjustable pedals in the 62 Mustang , The idea came from Airplanes, And most Aircraft today still have adjustable pedals and the seat is stationary

The 64 1/2 mustang , 63 mustang , 62 mustang , are Fords Concept's of the Mustang based on the Ford Falcon . Without the Falcon there would be no Mustang.

The 64 1/2 was a production car.
The mustang sheet metel was a all new design,
The Falcon provided the under carrage, 64 1/2 through 73

The pinto provided the under carrage for the Mustang II 74-78

The Fox body mustangs were Fairmonts underneath.

The SN95s were something else, I don't remember, (its 5 in the morning)
The latest mustang S-197 has no car that it owes anything to its all Mustang.

The Mustang has always owed it's exsistance to the other ford vehicles . The new car owes its motor and parts to the Ford trucks as the Mustang is one of the few rear wheel drive cars left in the world . The front wheel drive cars are not compatible with the rear wheel drive cars , sidewinder motors are a thing that should not have been.

There is nothing on the mustang that is related to Trucks. Mustangs have always been built of a existing platform except the new mustang, Its all its own car. The 4.6 5.4 and 4.0 engines that are in the 07 mustang are in trucks, because thats what kind of engines Ford makes, But thats the only comparison that a mustang has to a truck. The 5.4 and 4.6 in a Mustang aren't even close to a 5.4 or a 4.6 in a truck, same cubic inch but thats about all. Maybe the Blue oval also. The S-197 (05-06-07) isn't even built in the same assembly plant as the Fox or the SN95.
4 door, front wheel drive cars are for old ladies.
The corvett owes its motor and parts to the Silverodo?

Thats funny
