John Kerry
Said that if hewas president that the Israel/Lebanon thing would not have happened?
Somehow John would have been at the Checkpoint between Lebanon and Israel and stoped the Israeli soldier from being kiddnaped? John needs to go to vegas instead, He can see into the future, If anyone could see that this would happen then I would guess the soulder would have called off work that day. The UN has had troops in the area for 14 years, The Lebanon govenment has Hesbalah in there government, You can't reason with terrorist. sease fire will just give them a bigger head. You will not stop a rattle snake from bitting you unless you kill it. No reasoning, no simpathy, no compassion, just kill it and move on. Same with Terrorist. Rice going to Lebanon was , in my opinion , not very smart. It shows weekness. What Israel should do is launch several of the Hesbalah rockets at where Rice is/was. Ron

Kerry, is a joke. Yeah, he would have stopped this conflict, sure and hell has frozen over!
With his very questionable "war record", just what the hell does he know that the rest of us are clueless about? Kerry is a P.O.S. and anyone that gives him a second of air time is just as well.

Nonone could stop what is going on now. I don't even think that Ghandi would have a chance to stop this.

Looks to me like Kerry is simply stroking hokum in an effort to catch a wave. The UN required the Government of Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah some years ago.
That never happened; as usual the UN was ignored, but instead, the Lebanese Government were participants in arming Hezbollah more heavily and allowing them to run amuck, including attacks against Argentinean civilians. Kerry, of all people, has to be well aware of that particular continuum of abysmal UN failures and mid-east skullduggery. Not sure what he thinks he could have done about that perennial train wreck call Lebanon or the hapless and hopelessly corrupt UN, other than Monday morning quarterbacking, second-guessing and ?look at me? pageant posturing. Today I heard the UN was upset that Israel blew up their Observation Post marked "UN" that the Lebanese Government and Hezbolaugh had access to. I would have blown it up the 1st Day after dropping those leaflets saying if you don't want to be blown up get across that there river .
