Anyone familiar with Toyota or Jeep V6 conversions

I have a 1980 toyota 4X4 pickup and a 1980 CJ5 jeep. going to restore the jeep and put a 4.3 chevy vortec in it and put a 231 buick in the toyota. Any of you out there ever done this? All the books I have read say they are not to difficult to do. Going to do the Toyota pickup first cause I already have the 231 buick and the pickup requires less body work than the jeep.

...it should be a bolt up situation, might have to reposition your engine mounts, and exhaust configuration are you running a carb, or throttle body?? wiring, what did the jeep run for a motor as far as fuel delivery...

...from my point,, a Toyota transmission would not bolt up to the Buick, so now your back to transfer case, drive shaft, and so on, I've seen people use a gm chassis of sort, K10703,(short box 4 wheel drive), and mount a VW bug on top, but what your trying to do probably is like we''ll,...

...the jeep being GM compatible with a 4.3, or 350 works everytime, but trying to match wires from Toyota to Buick, unless your going with some type of generic new wiring loom, or your going to be spending a lot of time with a test light, and voltage meter, and rewiring individual circuits, etc,...
