Default Iran and Venezuela

Iran's president should be arrested as soon as leaves the UN building. Take a look at the picture of the United States Hostages when Carter was in office. The president of Iran (now) is one of the hostage takers. He says thats not him, That would be for a court and a jury to decide

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is said to be giving out cheep Heating oil contracts to provide cheep heating oil to low income families. On the surface it would seem this is a good thing, in reality it undermines and under cuts Business not owned by Hugo. Lets say that Texaco would give free gas to Texans. Seems like a good deal if your a Texan, however who do you think is going to pay for the free gas in Texas and what does that do to all the rest of the gas stations in Texas.
Hugo is tying to gain a control over heating oil companies by subsidizing those oil companies that he owns.
Our government should put a tax on the companies that get low heating oil contracts in the amount equal to the amount of the lowered price so that the end user would pay the same as if he or she would have purchased the heating oil from any dealer. To allow a dictator to attempt to put United States companies out of business should not be allowed even at the expense of low income families cheep heating oil.
I would imagine the Country of China could subsidize a venture withing the United States like, FREE TV's. Just what do you think that would do to all the United States owned TV companies.
Hugo's plan should not be allowed to go forward.

When I heard ole Hugo was going to Harlem to sell the poor low cost heating oil I thought to myself his low cost oil should get a nice hefty Tariff to make up the difference also! I just wish congress would think of it too

JD
correct.
Just think, There was just a meeting in Cuba that brought leaders from over 100 countries that don't like the United States. Now each one could give a important commodity to the US consumer, now the US owned business would suffer and go out of business and the people that worked for those companies would no longer have a job. Although on the surface , getting stuff for free looks like a good thing , and it is for the individual, but not good for the country or the economy.
Take China for instance, China owns the companies in China and it owns the mints in china so when China wants to buy something, all it has to do is print more money, In effect China can buy the United States.
The US government can not allow other governments to weaken our economy or put US companies out of business, no matter what some Black Panther leader say on TV.
