There Will Always Be Enemies!

I doubt if few people (or species) upon this planet have been totally free of enemies since Day #1! It makes absolutely no difference if you ascribe to creationism or evolution, the world has always had one form of life feeding off of the blood and sacrifices of others! Be it whales dining upon plankton, or man butchering man, the survival of the fittest, the most cunning, the smartest, or just the most evil, has always been a fact of life - ?WELCOME TO PARADISE!?

They say that the Almighty is always watching and that no evil deed goes unpunished - if not in this world, then certainly in the next? Of course, the multitude of abject bastards that have infested this celestial orb since it first was flung free during the ?Big Bang?, has left many with room for doubt as to weather God really cares what mankind does to mankind. But if a divine plan does exist, then Hell will have no shortage of souls!

No, this is not some fire and brimstone, religious piece, but rather a reflection on the fact that man has really not journeyed all that far from the primordial caves of yore! He still kills with no apparent reason, steals others blind (all the way from the hallowed halls of government, down to the sewers of humanity), and gleefully engages in each and every sin and travesty known, along with a few others that are new even to this menagerie!

It seems that no matter how blessed (?) we think that we are, mankind will always have to create enemies - real or imaginary! And peace, or a return to Eden if you prefer, will eternally remain just out of our reach. Until, that is, we finally blow or disease ourselves into the eternal fires of perdition! If and when that comes to pass, then we (as a failed race), can all sit around for eternity, attempting to figure out where it all went wrong?
