![]() In the still of the night I heard the wail of shells as they passed in the night.
In the still of the night I heard the distant rumble as they fell to earth. In the still of the night I could see the lighting flashes of falling shells. In the still of the night I could feel the earth screaming in pain under my feet. In the still of the night I could feel the cries of young boys as they died. In the still of the night I felt my heart die a little for those young boys. In the still of the night I knew that those boys would not see daylight again. In the still of the night one lonely tear ran down my cheek for each of those young boys. Apr 24,00 ? by Guy L. Jones, Vietnam Vet, 1968-1969. |

![]() In the still of the night you could hear your Heart beat, and , it was to loud. A rain drop on a poncho was as distinct as a AK47 going off, and Bushes really did move.
