On the job training for potential future recruits
Staff Sgt. Vanzile, 100th Communications Squadron, assists Daniel Desessa, a student from Feltwell Elementary School, work with some Cat-5 cable as part of a hands-on presentation during the RAF Lakenheath Job Shadow Day on April 28th. 300 DoDDS students in Kindergarten through 12th grade participated in job shadow events at RAFs Feltwell, Lakenheath and Mildenhall. According to Anika Vines-Ogle, school liaison officer assistant, explained that the day was a way for students to get a better understanding of what their parents’ careers are.
Major Lamont Atkins, 100th Communication Squadron commander, echoed that sentiment, explaining he was glad to take part in the day so others could experience what their parents do when they put on their uniform.
