Trains, Planes & Automobiles
Do any of yall live near a RR track, Airport or A Highway?
Ifnya do, which is the worse? Just wondering. I live one block away from a RR track with intersection. Every time the train comes by they have to blow the whistle so dam- loud that you can hear it a mile away. Matter of fact, the train starts blowing that whistle about a mile away and at every cross road that is in the route. Drives alot of people crazy, cause the lights come on, the bells start ringing and the stop bars come down. That should be sufficient, but no. They have to blow that dam- whistlsle three times before they reach the crossing and one time ( all the way through) the crossing. And on top of that the railraod personel cannot succeed the 20 mph speed limit. ( I still laugh about seeing a cop trying to catch a train ) I lived in Tx for 25 years and only about 2 miles away from DFW Airpot. The planes didnt bother me ( or the Satelite TV either ). Where I am at now, there are alot of vehicles on this street, and believe me, they dont bother me either ( till I see a cop come up to the stop sign and dont signal a turn, but they pull a civilian over for it in a heart beat. Anyone want to add ot this?? enough...... reeb.....
