Exclamation Not Guilty On All Counts!

NOT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS!
Verdict in Nazario Trial
Defend Our Marines | Nathaniel R. Helms | Tuesday, August 28, 2008
Jose Nazario remained emotionless as the verdict on each count was read. Behind him, his family began to cry and cheer and the judge had to stop the reading between the second and third count.
One juror, a 36-year-old real estate agent in Lake Elisnore, California, spoke to Defend Our Marines.
He said he didn't know a thing about the case until he heard about it in court. When the jury began deliberating, he said three jurors thought Nazario was guilty. By the end of the first day, only juror still thought so.
"If I thought there had been a crime," the juror said, "I would have had no trouble voting for a guilty verdict. We weren't trying to send a message about the war, or trying to take the moral high ground. The government just didn't make a case. There was nothing there."
Developing story...

Whats Murtha got to do with it?
it's the government of George Bush that was prosecuting the guy, not Murtha.
Another zillion dollars down the tube--think george W Bush feels bad about all the taxpayer's money that was wasted on this prosecution?
Sorta doubt it

Default Murtha,

a former Marine, pronounced them guilty before they ever got a trial. In this country, your supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. They got a fair trial, and the government lost. I'm no Bush fan, as you know, but don't remember him pronouncing them guilty before the trial. Murtha was wrong and should apologize to the Marines.

Then the Bush administration was wrong to prosecute them. Bush should apologize to them for prosecuting them.

I'm sure he would but, unfortunately, he's on vacation

Biden: Rumsfeld should step down

Democratic senator restates call, this time over Haditha killings

Sunday, June 4, 2006; Posted: 10:50 p.m. EDT (02:50 GMT)

A top Democratic senator has called for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign.
SPECIAL REPORT

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld should step down amid an investigation into whether U.S. troops covered up the suspected intentional killings of Iraqi civilians in Haditha, Sen. Joseph Biden said Sunday.
The Delaware senator is the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a potential presidential candidate in 2008.

Biden told NBC's "Meet the Press" that the accountability for Haditha and other alleged atrocities in Iraq should go all the way up to Rumsfeld. (Watch Rumsfeld's critics fueled by Haditha incident -- 2:17)

"We can't get rid of the president; he's there for two-and-a-half more years," Biden said. "There is a system of accountability. ... When you make serious mistakes, you step forward and you acknowledge them and you walk away.

"Presidents can't and shouldn't do that. Secretaries of defense can and should."

Biden said Rumsfeld "should be be gone; he shouldn't be in his office tomorrow morning."

No Defense Witnesses.
Civilian Jury.
Democrats had used this as a political criticism of the military. They judged the situation before facts were in.

No defense witness means there was no case. Shame, shame on the prosecutors.
This case should have never been tried in a civilian court! But those wanting to make an example out the military should be ashamed of themselves.
His two buddies are still facing charges. I hope they drop those charges quickly, and Nazario gets his job back with the Riverside Police Department who fired him before the evidence was in.

Default Wtf

...

WTF James,

... Is everything to do with anything always the republicans, or George Bush?,...

... Or does it have nothing/ anything to do with the "state" of the world from Sadam to Bin laden, to Iran to Korea, and the big picture of whats been brewing out there,...

why is EVERYTHING GWB or the current administration, slick willie was just perfect wasn't he, because he was a democract that sat on his ass, or rather monica's, and let every rancid rotten Mf'er in the world do what they wanted building up to where we are now,...

... No, our "intelligence", and the rest of the world's agreed that Sa Dumb had to go not only because of his """possible""" WMD's, but because of his human rights efforts to make Iraq a better place.

...but all that was GWB's fault too, or some republican from Iowa I suppose,...

Truly amazing! Rather than rejoice in a finding of 'not guilty,' the resident whining and sniveling squad wants to assign blame someone who is supposed to personally monitor every federal employee, every hour of every day, making sure that their individual and collective actions are in keeping with some plan of action that autonomically conforms with the W & S plan. Here's the way reality functions: Murtha calls for heads to roll, Biden yammers as usual, and the wheels of justice turn. Now that the wheels of justice have rotated their final turn, (1) Murtha should apologize or better yet, resign, (2) Biden should apologize, or better yet, expose his stupidity and hyprocrisy to the examining public, and (3) those of us that have a sense of decency should rejoice with Jose Navario.
