At a time in our history when we are trying to emulate the Roman Empire of yore, we are picking people to run for high public office with about the same qualifications as Poncho Villa and Donald Duck – in my opinion!

On one hand, we have an aging warrior who has selected a virtually unknown with limited proven ability, as a Vice Presidential Running Mate. And on the other hand, we are being shackled to someone with equally deficient and untested qualifications to see us through extremely critical times in our brief history!

Hey,...Rick. Where you been? That's what TYPICALLY STANDARD POLITICS is all about.
From Dog Catcher to President,...whenever have ANY been pre-tested and/or:
"Proven ability" to ACTUALLY handle the job in most cases BOUGHT & PAID FOR?????????

Hell,...our ruling elite or Political Lords & Masters (of whatever BENT) don't even have to
fill out & sign an application form,...before BS'n their way into omnipotent power & control
over We Rabble, Peasants, Taxpayers and/or: "We The (Schnooks)".

I honestly believe that political leaders of socialist or communist nations are much more
honest about how they normally daily rule,...than ours. Such don't BS anyone and pretty-
much demand or dictate (differently with weapons if need be) that their people do as
they're told to do by law,...and that's that.

Granted governance much more benign in democracies than in dictatorships.
But, the results are alway quite similar. Rulers Rule & Subjects do as told by laws made
by Their Rulers (of whatever BENT).

What's missing in this commentary is that it is not the elected officials that we have to worry about most of the time.

Yes, the Kennedys, Reids, Palosis etc. make a lot of decisions for us but when we get a new congressman, the hired help help runs the office. They don't get voted in & out.

This is why term limits are not as good in reality.

I can tell you from actual experience that you are ABSOLUTELY correct when you discovered that it is the staff of these politicians that are running the country. These people have no clue what in the hell they are doing, much less do they give a damn about the population that their elected flunkies represent.

I have found many of these asses can be arrogant, self-deifying and nasty to the core.

You can almost see the green squiggly lines emanating from their freaking bodies. Who in the hell do we elect anyway - useless politicians or even more useless ass-kissing staff members?

The quickest way to turn a semi-decent individual into a bastard is to give them a whiff of the backside of some political power.

Adding to that the obvious reality that worst & most duplicitously people-dividing entity
know mankind called: "Politics" is what actually governs us, it's no wonder why The
Greatest Nation on Earth can never even satisfy its very own people, much less buy friends
with U.S. Taxpayer monies as wastefully trying to do for about last 60 years or so.

The more that Taxpayer forced helping out many worldwide with Foreign Aid & Charities,...
the more that many such recipients hate & despise us (naturally not all overtly).
One just cannot buy TRUE friends.

Then too, there's that nonsense of what called: "Checks & Balances", SUPPOSEDLY(?????)
keeping only one ideology from dominating & having total control over US. Yeah, sure?
100% Political Electees & 100% Political Appointees in Executive, Legislative & Judicial only
reinforce the fact that America mostly governed by Exceptionally & Quite Purposefully
Divisive Political Bull and/or the epitome of an oxymoron called: "Political Correctness".

All the: "Pie in the sky" promises, political bull and/or usual or typical campaign rhetoric,
is just that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Want reality instead about our greatly worldwide hyped democracy? Well then, just note
how abysmally the Pelosi Democrat Controlled U.S. Congress has ruled for the last ONE YEAR & EIGHT MONTHS.

In that time frame, I honestly believe that only foreign nationals (enemies inclusive) could truly ever appreciate exceptionally & disgustingly political America's so-called:
"Checks & Balances" & the naively stupid dictates of Political-Correctness.
The American Citizen/Taxpayer most certainly could never appreciate such.

H'core..Well since you mentioned emulating the Roman Empire, we really don't know what qualities of leadership we'll need to further our empire...it's a pretty new thing for us...George W. must be spinning in his grave.
