I met Rick at the special forces club Water Hole #3 in Pleiku sometime in late 1968 . His two Montagnard scouts were with him as they always were and I believe Jerry Shriver was also there that same day with some of his yards. There were other members of the MSFTC also having a drink and I remember thinking to myself that today, with these men, this is the safest place to be in all of VN.
