As veterans of Iwo Jima looked on, Major General Arnold L. Punaro passed command of the Fourth Marine Division to MajGen (Select) Jack A. Davis on Aug. 19 at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Va. A parade, which included Marines representing every unit of the division, then passed in review to honor those who fought at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
