Brothers of Capt. Humbert Roque Versace, Medal of Honor recipient, uncover his plaque Capt. Versace?s induction into the Hall of Heroes during a ceremony at the Pentagon on July 9, 2002. Versace distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism while serving in Vietnam from 1963 through 1965. The Viet Cong executed Versace on September 26, 1965 because they were unable to break his will, his faith in God and his trust in the United States.
