Two CH-46D Sea Knight helicopters from the "Gunbearers" of Helicopter Support Squadron Eleven (HC-11) pass each other during a Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP) of USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) by the combat support ship USS Sacramento (AOE 1). The CH-46 is the workhorse of the fleet, having been introduced in 1964. The Navy Sea Knight fleet is scheduled to be replaced by September 2004 with the MH-60S Knighthawk. Carl Vinson is currently underway off the California coast conducting training for their next scheduled deployment. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Ryan Jackson.
