Equipment from the Naval Construction Task Group (NCTG) is transported aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry using one of the ship?s cranes. Fort McHenry is off the coast of Basilan Island in the Southern Philippines, on-loading more than 300 U.S. Navy Seabees and Marine engineers. These Sailors and Marines from U.S. bases in Okinawa, Japan, are working on infrastructure improvements on the island. Military forces are involved in projects such as airfields, roads, and bridges, which also benefit the local area residents. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer?s Mate 3rd Class Gary B. Granger.
