Sailors work on an aircraft wing aboard the carrier?s flight deck as an ?underway replenishment? (UNREP) is conducted between other ships in the battle group, not far from the aircraft carrier. During an UNREP, supplies and fuel are transported from ship to ship whereas, the transfer of supplies from helicopter to ship at sea is called a ?vertical replenishment? or VERTREP.
