SP4 Moreland was the only black troop on the boats. This pleasant scene of he and the young ones is offset, in my memory, of Moreland standing on the bow of our boat, leaning against the guard rail --- he wears a Flak Jacket; is chewing gum; and his M16 lays across one cocked leg; and he is looking indiffently at the bodies of a few of the crew of a Tug Boat that hit a Watermine earlier that morning.
