Handbook of Information, Replacement Training Centers, Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas - This 1943 publication from Camp Robinson near Little Rock, Arkansas provided much of the information about the services available at a typical IRTC camp.
Information Hand Book For The Soldier - IRTC, Fort McClellan, Alabama, c1944. An introductory pamphlet given to new trainees at the Fort McClellan IRTC.
I Am A Doughboy - An IRTC publication designed to introduce the new selectee to life as an Infantry Replacement trainee. The one we used belonged to Pvt. Donald A Tobiason, 35th ITB at Croft, whose hometown was Westville, NJ
Historical and Pictorial Review - 27th Training Battalion, 1942 - The Army and Navy Publishing Company, Inc., c1941. A yearbook of sorts issued to each class of the training battalions. Several unique photos came from this source as well as historical, organizational, and personnel information.

Basic Field Manual and Soldier's Handbook FM 21-100 - United States Government Printing Office, 1941. This version was published July 23, 1941, copies were issued to each new soldier and provided detailed information about his new role in the Army.

A Camera Trip Through Camp Croft, Spartanburg, S.C. - Ullman Company, Brooklyn and New York, 1943. Described as "A picture book of the camp and its activities", this publication provided many of the images used on the site. U.S. Infantry Weapons of World War II - by Bruce N. Canfield, Andrew Mowbray Publishers, Third Edition c1994. A great resource for information on infantry weapons (unfortunately except for the 105 mm).
US Army Handbook, 1939 to 1945 - by George Forty, Barnes and Noble Books, c1998. A reference work on the US Army during W.W.II. It covers everything from weapons to tactics, vehicle markings to camouflage, rations to radio sets, and battle orders to logistics.
How to Survive Combat as Point Man If You Are Lucky ... and Lose Friends if They Aren't - by Thomas E. Street, c1999 Merriam Press. Mr. Street was a trainee at Croft and gave considerable attention to his experiences in this book about his service.
The Personnel Replacement System in the US Army - by Leonard L Lerwill, United States Government Printing Office, 1955. A Department of the Army pamphlet (No. 20-211) intended to provide the Army with a factual record of the measures taken to offset personnel losses during various periods of American military history.
Nazi Prisoners of War in America - Arnold Krammer, Scarborough House Publishers, c1979, 1991, 1996. The complete story of how the U.S Government, between 1942 and 1946, detained nearly a half million Nazi prisoners of war in 511 camps across the country. Camp Croft held between 500 and 750 prisoners.
Comprehensive Park Perspective for Croft State Natural Area - An undated document (assumed to be 1998) prepared by the South Carolina Parks, Recreation and Tourism. Is described the natural and cultural history of the area encompassed by Croft State Natural Area, a 7,053 acre portion of the former Camp Croft.
