On a lighter note...
Two days before the ceremonies on the 7th, we toured the island of Oahu, and stopped by "Hilo Hattie's"... the most famous Hawaiian shirt shop...thousands of shirts and stuff.
As the crowd of Pearl Harbor Survivors stampeded off the bus and through the store, I shot the following photo. Photo: Jack McCarron, the only living survivor of the USS Arizona in San Diego. Jack is a great man, and takes his membership in the PHSA very seriously. Here, he is digging deep to find the perfect color shirt for his "Uniform of the Day" Dec. 5, 2001 HB
