my questions on war

Iraq supplies us with 1% of all oil imports so I don't see a viable conclusion to use that as a factor to jack up gas prices. Next, with all the govt/military expertise why one asks is it not viable and possible to send in a covert action team to take insane hussain without going to the trouble of placing troops in garms way. Does anyone really think it impossible to take out any individual with such a team?
I fear we are going to place ourselves ir dire peril esp. when we now speak of confrontation of a nuclear power (N Korea) of whom are crazy enough to fire the shot that may spell the end.
Much like Vietnam, our troops are poised on the verge of being subjected to deadly chemical agents that far surpass Agent Orange..is the price going to be worth it? Granted, something needs to be done but again, I feel a surgical removal of the leader as opposed to massive military intervention with the possible deadly consequenses would be a better option.
As to Turkey, why should we have to pay them to use their land when we are guaranteeing protection for them if they allow us to do so. Saudi Arabia says NO to the use of the air bases there to launch an attack against Iraq. To this I would say, fine we'll leave and when the scuds come again and your oil fields blaze again don't call us.....how soon they forget!!!

I marvel at how many times another country has come to the aid of the U.S. in times of crisis...can you name 1 that has done so since WW11?? The U.S. is forever giving, and helping everyone on earth but how many times has the favor been returned when the U.S. needed it. Its time (past time) that we take care of ourselves, our people first and foremost then share any left overs with other countries. As great a country as we are we should be ashamed, embarrsed to be a country that can't take care of its senior citizens, its veterans, quality healthcare for every person in this country, jobs, and security..No, we must ship the jobs, the money, and materials everywhere else but home first.

Ah well, enough steam letting it just drives my b/p up!!!
