Have you ever taken time to look down upon a young child, asleep within its crib or at play on the floor? How delightful and how vulnerable they are! Children rely upon us for nearly every aspect of their lives - for food, for medical care, for attention to their needs, and yes, even for love.

Now lets talk about the adults of this species - the wise, the educated and the worldly! The beings that all children count upon for nearly everything.

Is it children who start or gain by wars? Is it our kids who pick up guns, engage in terrorism, or beat the drums of hatred and lust? And yet, when war does break out, usually nurtured by greed or insanity, it is the kids who suffer most. For a loving creature born of woman, it is children who pay the ultimate price. Either that, or they grow up to acquire the same morbid survival techniques as their parents - suspicion, intolerance, hatred, and moral insanity! And try as we might, generation after generation falls victim to the illnesses of spirit - a sickness, that if left untended, will eventually sound the death knell of the human race!

We do not have to worry about interplanetary collisions, super volcanoes, gigantic tsunamis, or even new and devastating diseases alone. It is mankind himself that will eventually obliterate his promise, his being, and record at all of his ever occupying even a miniscule corner of the cosmos!
