Captain Waylan Cain of Marine Fighter/Attack (All Weather) Squadron 225 climbed out of the Corps' newest F/A-18 Hornet after flying it from St. Louis to Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, Calif. This was the final F/A-18 to roll off The Boeing Co.'s assembly line and the last to be added to the Marine Corps' inventory.
