An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the ?Eagles? of Strike Fighter Squadron One One Five (VFA-115) is in afterburner during routine launch from USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The aircraft attains a speed of 175 mph (152 knots) in 2? seconds and in just 250 feet. Abraham Lincoln and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) are on a routine deployment supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Southern Watch.
