An Aviation Machinist's Mate works on the rear rotor blade of an SH-60 Seahawk assigned to the "Red Lions" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Fifteen (HS-15). Carriers such as George Washington allow the United States to bring air power where it's needed, when it's needed and for as long as it's needed without requiring any basing permission from another country. George Washington is homeported in Norfolk, Va., and is nearing the end of a scheduled six month deployment after completing combat missions supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Southern Watch.
