An F-14 Tomcat from the "Jolly Rogers" of Fighter Squadron One Zero Three (VF-103) flies over the Mediterranean Sea at sunset. The Tomcat has been in the Navy inventory since 1973 and will be replaced by the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet by 2007, giving it a service life of 30-plus years.
