In closing, you should be aware that this account is overseen by a 6-person Board of Advisors, at least two of whom are SEALs and another a lady who is VERY active in the military-support community. Doc Riojas has been adding photos I send him to this site for all to view. He has put a lot of work into this site. If you have any photos to contribute, please send to me or directly to Doc Riojas. For those of you frogmen who don't know Doc, he was a corpsman working primarily with the east coast teams. I believe this is a good venue for us has beens to reminisce about the good ole days when we were young and full on energy with lots of hair.

The reason we had those shoulder patches was because early UDTs were stationed in Japan and they had them made up. I remember being stationed in Japan at the same time in Beachmasters and every time I saw one of the UDT guys with their patch I was in awe. I couldn't wait to go to UDT training. Carl Swepston
