Audaz (Destroyer, 1897-1927)

Audaz, a 400-ton torpedo boat destroyer, was built in Scotland in 1897. During the Spanish-American War, she was a unit of Admiral Camara's abortive Philippines relief expedition. Audaz was disposed of circa 1927.

1972: President Nixon, despite the ongoing communist offensive, announces that another 20,000 U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Vietnam in May and June, reducing authorized troop strength to 49,000.
