The National Guard are the back up Police of our country, just like The Sheriff is chief law enforcement in each county of the United States as under the common law of England that we operate under. I think they should go to the borders with heavy weapons & Lots of ammo for their protection. Thanks. David

If you just look at their title, "National Guard,"
the question is answered literally.
If our borders aren't secure, send the Guard to keep our side of it for Americans and let others ask for permission to come accross the line, share and enjoy what we as Americans are blessed with but if they abuse those freedoms then we throw them out with a "No Return" policy.

Unless there is an utility right of way on the property owners land, The NG can not guard the boarder, whithout permission from each property owner along the boarder

Does anyone still own the weapon they used during world war 2? I've still got my old Thompson.
