Maybe the reduction in forces is part of the application of the political buzzwords of this go-round: exit strategy. After securing the peace in Europe and in Korea, we should have re-deployed forces long ago; sadly, we instead have created a new class of foreign entitlement demanders. Look for a downturn in the local economies in Germany unless and until the local folks can learn to stand on their own feet again.
