Band of Brothers

The book, "Band of Brothers", by Stephen Ambrose is a short history of the men of Easy Company, 506 Regiment, 101st Airbrone Division during World War II. From the formation of Easy Company in Georgia to end of the war in Europe, Stephen Ambrose has captured the elements and qualities of a company of Ameircan boys brought together as a result of Hitler and Pearl Harbor. How and why bonds of friendship were formed that lasted a lifetime is explained. The hardship and tough training that made Easy Company the finest of the 101st. A factual account of the campagins from D-Day to V-E Day are presented in a very readable format. An excellent account of the young men of democracy being victorious over totalarianism.
